Info on Hardeeville hotels

Planning a trip to see Savannah/Hilton Head area in April.

Hardeeville seems centrally located and has several moderately priced hotels.

Maybe TOO moderately priced.

Any info on Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, etc. would be appreciated.

Did you read the reviews? When are you going?

I read the reviews--that%26#39;s what is so confusing.

One person says a place is great, the next says don%26#39;t stop there.

Planning on going in mid to late April.

I know what you mean about the reviews. I can be confusing for sure. Have you checked rates for non-beachfront hotels on Hilton Head? We stayed at a hotel at Hardeeville in Jan. on our way to Florida. The area is OK. There are a few hotels and fast food places as well as a couple of gas stations. Not sure I would want to stay there for any length of time though.

Welcome to the internet! Deciphering message board recommendations is an acquired skill. Frankly, while Hardeeville is a burgeoning residential area, if it were me I would either stay in Hilton Head or Savannah and do a day (or two) trip to the other.

jljnla: I agree with the above post. Try hotwire or onetime (and click on hotwire as the provider). You will get a four star hotel at a two star price. The three 4 star hotels that will appear on hotwire are the Westin Resort/Crowne Plaza Resort and the Hilton Oceanfront. The Hilton is my favourite. But if they show up at your price range, then book them. They are all oceanfront or pretty darn close.

D in Muskoka.

All of the hotels in Hardeeville on are I-95 (which runs right thru town) so the majority of folks who stay there are generally just stopping for the night while on their way to or back from FLA. In general, a hotel review are dependent upon the expectations of the person writing the review. If one is looking for simple basic accomodations (1-2 star), the hotels in Hardeeville should be just fine. If one is looking for resort-like accomodations, forget it. I personally would not use Hardeeville as a home base for trips to either Savannah or Hilton Head; it really is not that convenient.
