Best airline fares Chicago to Hilton Head

We%26#39;re a family of six (all adults) looking to fly to Hilton Head in late April for a destination wedding. We%26#39;ll be staying four nights arriving Thurs., leaving Mon. We all live in the Chicagoland area. Our accomodations are already booked in Hilton Head. We%26#39;re just looking for reasonable airfare. Anyone have any ideas?

Check out airfarewatchdog.com. It finds the best fares at the moment. Another site I like to use is itasoftware.com (Sign in as a guest). I like this site because of its search matrix. If your dates are fixed, you can have it search all airports within 50, 75,to a 100 miles.

Give serious thought to using other airports within a reasonable driving distance: Savannah, Charleston, Jacksonville,FL.

We are not blessed with a discount airline in this area. The best airport is Savannah, not Hilton Head. It is only a 45 minute drive to the island from SAV.

United Express offers non stop service to Savannah from ORD, and probably would be your best bet.

If you can get Southwest look for service to Jacksonville. It would be a two and a half hour drive, but might be worth it for the savings.

If you don%26#39;t mind the drive, fly into Jacksonville, Fl and drive the 2.5 hrs. We%26#39;re going to HHI in May and just booked on United for $140/person. It was by far the cheapest around even with a car rental for 4 days.
