Weekend getaway

My DH and I are planning a visit to the Charleston area on Feb 29-Mar 2. I am leaning towards the BW Patriots Point, any thoughts on the hotel? It seems to have good reviews on TA. We dont mind being across the bridge from downtown and want to visit the Yorktown. I saw the Wine %26amp; Food Festival is that weekend also. For the locals - is this a bad weekend to visit? Is the downtown area just crazy with people? Any thoughts would help, thanks!

Weekend getaway

you will love using the peddle cabs downtown. it%26#39;s a great way to see the city, and get arround. very informative too, our guide, jim, took us from the aquarium right to poogan%26#39;s porch, which we had never heard of and loved eating lunch there. enjoy your trip!

Weekend getaway

It might be crowded but that%26#39;s part of the fun. Crowded in Charleston isn%26#39;t like crowded in San Francisco or New York - a traffic jam here means you%26#39;re in the 2nd light change on Hwy 17. I will admit that even when it%26#39;s not busy in the city somehow the best restaurants are all booked - so you might want to book a couple 3 days in advance if it%26#39;s really important you get in to a favorite restaurant. ENJOY!!!!!

Firstly, don%26#39;t worry about crowds. It should be fine. As far as your hotel, I%26#39;ve never stayed there but the location will be very convenient to downtown and to the Yorktown. This should be a great weekend for your trip!
