Things to do?

I know I know, Myrtle Beach is packed with lots to see and do. I%26#39;d love to know what is ';not to be missed'; and if there are any special events going on during the last week of April. Also, any advice on inexpensive- moderately priced places to eat etc etc... Anything worth knowing from someone who frequents Myrtle Beach, even the weather at that time of year! This is my first time and I%26#39;m super excited about it!

Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing. Both are outside walking with shops and restaurants.

You can check out the tour center at Hard Rock Park. It%26#39;s free. (located on 501) ps you can see the roller coaster above the trees.

You%26#39;ve got Alabama Theatre one show, Dixie Stampede (dinner and show, great and lots of food and you will enjoy the show.)Carolina Opry, Ripleys Aquarium, Imax, Brookgreen Gardens... Be sure and pick up brochures from hotel and restaurants. Many have discount coupons to dining, attractions, shopping,etc... Check the daily paper The Sun News, coupons and early bird specials can be found here.

Some good places to eat and not so pricey are: Tripps, Tony Roma%26#39;s, J Edwards, Sara J%26#39;s, Driftwood, Carrabas, Prossors, Cedar Hill Landing. In each area of the beach there are small local restaurants ask where you are staying. Ask when you go out to eat breakfast. I live at the southend of the beach and know about that end.

Cutiq, we are staying in the southern part of MB - Myrtle Beach Resort. Can you make some suggestions for good places to have dinner in that area - preferably kid friendly places. Our children are 14, 10 and 4. Thanks in advance.

Do you all like Mexican?...one of our top places to eat is El Patio which a block or two south of MB Resort on US 17.
