Less Crowded in August?

My family and I are traveling to MB the last week of August (the week before Labor Day). Is it true that MB is less crowded this week? Is that because SC kids are back in school already?

Less Crowded in August?

Yes the crowds will be smaller. SC and NC schools generally begin before northern schools. Also, college kids generally return before Labor Day as well. Labor Day weekend is busy but you should enjoy smaller crowds the week before.

Less Crowded in August?

Yes! Perfect time to go (barring hurricanes:)

August is a wonderful time to go. We stayed in North Myrtle and it was mostly older couples and people with younger children not in school yet. Plenty of space to run around on the beach, and while there were still lots of people around, we never had to wait at a restaurant.

Surfside and Garden City are also nice to visit a little less traffic. Couple of miles south of Myrtle Beach.

I believe the resort we are staying at is closer to Surfside. We are staying at Myrtle Beach Resort and renting a condo from a private homeowner. We used VRBO. Our whole family is excited and we are even happier that the crowds will be a bit smaller.

By the way, MB Grocer, I checked out your website. Really neat concept, and I am considering using your service. But I%26#39;m not sure if I can call the resort and ask them to let you in because I am not renting from them and am renting from a private homeowner instead. In addition, the charge seems a bit steep. Do you accept the MB VIP card?

Just something yall may like to know. SC schools can not start back until after the third Monday in August. This was put into place at the start of the 07-08 school year.

We%26#39;ve been to Myrtle Beach in June, July, and August and the end of August was least crowded. We finally got to do everything we wanted without long waits.

Myrtle BEach Resort is in Sufside between Lakewood and Ocean Lakes which is way less congesed than MB itself. When we go in July the traffic in that area aint nothing compared to the traffic in Myrtle Beach. I think that you will like the location.

That%26#39;s great that it is less crowded at the end of August because my hubby does not have much patience for lines and traffic. It will be a nice relaxing vacation.
