On our way to Myrtle next week! Last minute trip!

I was required by my employer to take a week of vacation next week or lose it. It just so happens that my fiance is on spring break from her college classes at the same time, and she only works on weekends, so I thought we would squeeze in a visit to MB next week. I looked at my hotel points account for choice and ichotels, and we decided to book a two night stay at the Holiday Inn in Surfside, and a two night stay at the Comfort Inn Oceanfront in Myrtle Beach, all for free hotel points, it would seem they take points in the off-season. An unexpected visit, and we have never visited in March, but thought it might be a welcome detour in our schedules. I%26#39;ve never stayed at Surfside, nor have we visited Myrtle in March. We hope the weather is well enough to lounge on the beach and take in a good book. Looking forward to a few days of nothing to do, but listen to the surf!

We come in March evey year and I like it. There aint any crowds like in the summer or really no crowds at all. The weather can be iffy this time of the year. We have been in March and the highs have been close to the upper 70%26#39;s and been before and the highs being in the lower 40%26#39;s. So you may or may not be able to sit on the beach and read a book. Also they have the beach renourishment going on also. They6 are done in Surfside and are working up the beach. There is a post a few pages back with a link about the timeline but it aint day by day. It is a few months spand of what they have on there.

We are going Easter weekend for the first time so I%26#39;m wondering what that will be like.

Weather today is slightly overcast and highs in low 50%26#39;s, this weekend they are calling for low 60%26#39;s and I think that next week you can probably expect low to mid 60%26#39;s.

Supposedly the biggest rain maker we%26#39;ve had in a long time will be coming in the first part of next week (according to Raleigh weatherman)......we need it!!!!
