It has been a couple of years since we have visited and that was in May. Is the campground busy in mid-September? We are looking at a week and although we are in a tent, would like electricity. I%26#39;m getting a new convertible and can%26#39;t think of a better road trip destination!!
camping in septemberStick with May! The weather in May is very nice in the lowcountry. Warm days and Cool nights. September will be a different story.....very hot, muggy and lots of mosquitos and gnats! Not a good time for camping in a tent.
You may also want to consider late October....
