Avista Resort

Hi Fellow Travelers,

My wife and I are going to Myrtle Beach in a couple months and plan on staying at the Avista Resort.

Looking for feedback from people that have stayed there and have any feedback, or advice. Thanks

Avista is in North Myrtle Beach. That%26#39;s a seperate city from Myrtle Beach. Maybe ten miles north of city of Myrtle Beach. If not familiar with area might want to get bearings on MapQuest before heading that way. Might also post on the North Myrtle Beach board.

Gets good reviews on the NMB Board. Think only negative reviews I can think of is cabinet space in bathrooms and strong chlorine smell in indoor pools during off season. Very minor problems.

It%26#39;s in a great location. Just north of Main Street in Ocean Drive secton of NMB. Short walk to beach shops and couple places to eat for those days you just don%26#39;t feel like dressing up and standing in line.

Out at the end of Main Street is a Kroger%26#39;s and a BI-LO for groceries. Also a Super Wal-Mart and Food Lion out on RT 17.

Less than two miles north is Sea Mountain Highway in Cherry Grove secton. More places to eat and an IGA grocery store with-in sight of the ocean.
