';shops on King';

Between which cross streets are the ';shops on King'; that are always talked about? THanks

';shops on King';

I think what you want to know is about shopping on King. Basically, starting at Broad Street and going up (away from the Battery) is the King Street shopping district. Let me take you on a quick ';tour';...

the lowest part of King, north of Broad, is populated mostly by Antique shops and other galleries. You will find some restaurants, lodging, and then a large number of boutique shops mixed in with national chain stores and local more ';casual'; restaurants (as you are now in the general College of Charleston shopping/dining area). Crossing Calhoun and after Marion Square (and after the condemned old architecturally uninteresting building that will be coming down ';soon'; to make way for lofts or condos or a hotel or something) you%26#39;ll see some more upscale restaurants and boutiques for about the next 6-7 blocks. Beyond that the area is in ';transition'; with gentrification likely to occur over time.

I hope that answers your question - if not, write back!

Got it! Thanks!
