Myrtle Beach campgrounds

Can you walk, via the beach, from Pirateland

to Ocean Lakes? We have friends staying at

a different campground.

You can walk the beach to get there. However, at high tide, you will probably have to get wet up tp the knee to get around the rocks (jetty) at the Lakewood Campgrouns swash.

Oh my! well, thanks so much for the answer - that%26#39;s

good to know!

Would you happen to know if the walk from

maybe Lakewood Campground to Ocean Lakes would

be better?

Thanks!

They have a couple of state parks that are awesome. Huntington State Park and Myrtle beach state park. We have stayed at both and both are very nice and not overly crowded. You must register up front in order to get a spot.

There is no problem with the walk from Lakewood to Ocean Lakes, only about 150 yards in front of the Myrtle Beach Resort. As mentioned before, at high tide it may not be possible at all to get around the jetties at the creek between Lakewood and Pirateland, and at low tide you are still going to get your feet wet.

I twill be easier from Lakewood to Ocean Lakes than Pirateland to Ocean Lakes. As mentioned during high tide there is a stream thing that fills up between Lakewood and Pirateland. The only campground that we stay at by the way is Lakewood.

No problem at all lakewwo to Ocean Lakes. We own a condo at Myrtle Beach Resort and on my morning walks, I go north to the jetty (swash ) and back, then the next day go about a mile south and back Early mornings on the beach are great.

I would recommend Lakewood to Ocean Lakes. We have had friends at Pirateland and when getting back at high tide actually cut their foot on the rocks - so be safe if you do stay at Pirateland. We have stayed at Lakewood many years and really do enjoy the campground. We do not use the bathrooms (camper only), but that has seemed to be one of the complaints of Lakewood. Our girls are 21 %26amp; 24 and still go with us to Lakewood - truly a family vacation and we love it. Make sure you call ahead for your golf cart reservation. Can%26#39;t wait till July to enjoy a great week. Have fun!

We aint found any problems with the bath houses at Lakewood besides that they all don%26#39;t hace a/c
