Hi All! 2 couples mid 40%26#39;s looking for info on condos in area for bike week in May. Would prefer beach front and not too far from nightlife (walking distance would be great!!) It will be our 1st visit to the area.Coming down from Massachusetts! Thank You

Bike activities are spread out over many miles. Need to get map of area, determine what attractions are popular in your eye, and then look for lodging. Walking is almost out fo the question as it is so spread out. Perhaps the local Harley dealers could be of help.

Majority of activities span from Murrells Inlet (south of MB), Broadway at Beach in MB, north to Barefoot Landing in NMB. If I were you, I would stay somewhere in MB south or Surfside/Garden City. There is much to do up and down the 60 miles of Grand Strand, so anywhere you stay you will be close to something. But if you are mainly interested in bike activities I would stay in MB or further south. North MB is nice but not as much activitiy for bikers

I just booked a condo last night after MUCH research! We are also 2 couples in our 40’s.

Now, based on my experience after last years fall rally Ocean Blvd. is really the beast place to stay. It is conveniently located to most activities. Don’t do what I did last year! We (fiancé %26amp; I) booked a place on Ocean Blvd., but it was in “North” Myrtle Beach, while our friends were in Myrtle Beach. 2 totally different places! Make sure you confirm the location.

We loved our pals room at the Bay View (great location, roomy clean, new), but this year their prices went up tremendously. We decided that we were going to stay in a 2 br condo together this time to avoid the hassle of coordinating meeting times, costs, and such.

So, my final decision after much ado was the Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort. Great location, great reviews, the posted pictures looked nice, and best of all each bathroom has private access from the bedrooms or public access from the hall way. Check out the floor plans on their website. I booked direct and received the rate of $199 for Thurs, and $209 for Fri %26amp; Sat. (05/08 – 05/11) Total with tax and fees - $702.32.
