Where to Stay 2 Adults-Oceanfront-near Broadway on the Beach

I%26#39;m looking for a place for my sister and I to stay for 2 nights. We%26#39;ll be there April 29-May 1st. I see a ton of reviews about which hotels are the most family friendly, with the best kitchens, pools and lazy rivers. But which hotels are best for adults?

We want to be right on the ocean so we can walk the beach. We would prefer either a lively on-sight bar at our hotel (or as lively as it can be on a Tuesday and Wednesday), or bars and restaurants within walking distance. They don%26#39;t need to be fancy. We%26#39;ll take a taxi to Broadway on the Beach at night, so we would like to be somewhat close to Broadwway, but we don%26#39;t need to be within walking distance.

Our price range is about $100-$150 per night. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

There are several hotels in the area of 22nd-26th ave (in line with Broadway, a straight shot while driving)that you could choose from. The ones that have an on-site bar are more than the price you are looking for. There is an oceanfront bar/restaurant at 20th north ocean blvd called Bummz Beach Cafe http://www.bummz.com that is within walking distance of a few hotels that may interest you, and they also have live entertainment and karaoke, just have to call them to find out what will be there when you are going. There is also a restaurant and bar called Pier 14 at the 14th ave pier, which is a longer walk from 22nd ave, maybe 8 blocks. You may want to look into the Best Western Carolinian http://www.oceanaresorts.com at 25th which gets mixed reviews. There is also the Dayton House at 24th ave, which seems very good for the price, http://www.daytonhouse.com, and for the budget minded there is the modest family owned Carnival Motor Inn at 25th ave, just a pool but when I stayed there it was clean. http://www.carnivalmotorinn.com

The Breakers. It%26#39;s oceanfront in a good central location with some restaurants, bars and other businesses within walking distance....plus it%26#39;s a straight shot up 21rst Ave to Broadway at the Beach. The hotel itself has a small bar which had live music last time we there (it was in the Summer though). The Paradise Tower is the newer, nicest section of the hotel but may be out of your price range...I haven%26#39;t checked into the rates lately. There%26#39;s nothing wrong with the rooms in the older part of the hotel though.

-Roxanne Towers is somewhat cheap don%26#39;t know if it%26#39;s in your range however.www.roxannetowers.com

Stay at Breakers or The Camelot. They are both next door to Bumzz. I am positive that for this time of year and staying during the week, you want to be near Bumzz. They have live music almost everyday and the crowd is fun. I have been going to Myrtle for the past ten years on golf trips and we always stay near Bumzz!
