We are thinking of getting married March of 2009 at Wild Dunes. Has anyone had a wedding at the new function venue or attended any function there?

Is it warm enough to have an evening wedding on the beach?

I was walking on the beach when a wedding started near the Boardwalk Inn. Is that the same place you%26#39;re referring to? Are you planning to get married on the sand or inside?

We were thinking of the gazebo.

We have been to Wild Dunes several times, but I have not seen the new function venue - we were there when it was being constructed. We were there in March one year and it was a bit cold - we wore sweatshirts/pants most of the time, but during the day it was warmer. Also, beware of booking condos in the northern part of the island - there is severe beach erosion right now, but I%26#39;ve heard they are fixing it. Other areas are fine except for the northern part.

Hello! I would love to help in anyway that I can with the current topic! My name is Samantha Hazard and I am the Catering Sales Manager at Wild Dunes Resort! March weather is usually very temperate here in Charleston and out on the Isle of Palms, home of Wild Dunes Resort. This past week, for instance, we have experienced sunshine and temperatures from 65 to 75 (predicted for today!) Of course we cannot always guarantee the sunshine for an outdoor wedding but a perk of the Grand Pavilion Gazebo is that we also include an indoor weather back up (our gorgeous ballroom space) in the case of chilly or inclement weather!
