Turtle Lane Villas in Sea Pines?

I am currently planning a trip to Hilton Head in May. It will be my husband and I (29 years old), our one-year-old son, and my mom and step-dad. We are currently looking at the Turtle Lane villas in Sea Pines, as we would like something very close to the beach and to have pool access. I was just wondering whether this would be close to restaurants and bars too. I would love to be able to even walk to a few things, since it is a pain to always have to load a baby into a carseat while on vacation. Also, I would love to be able to walk to get a few drinks with my husband once the baby is in bed and my parents can watch him.

So I guess I am just asking what the area around Turtle Lane is like, whether it is good for a young family, etc. Any advice?

I would highly recommend you stay in the South Forest Beach/North Forest Beach area for just the reasons you mentioned. You can walk to everything- restaurants, shops, coffee shops, grocery stores, ice cream and be on the beach. While Sea Pines is lovely...beach access is very limited. Look at the condos in SeaCrest, Ocean One or Shorewood. All are reasonable and wonderfully located near Coligny Plaza which is like the ';hub'; of HHI. Check it out- you won%26#39;t be dissappointed.

Hi Rosa - this info. may be too late for the trip that you are planning in May, but I believe that the Turtle Lane Club has great beach access. I am staying in a home within walking distance of TLC and all of the private homes along the oceanside of Sea Pies Dr. have beach access - just very limited access for the public in Sea Pines. The Sea Pines Beach Club, with a bar and restaurant is almost right next door - an easy walk. We plan to ride our bikes to South Beach Marina (2 mi.) Coligny Cir.(2 mi.) and Harbortown (1 1/2 mi.) for restaurants, ice cream, etc. - all along bike paths. Hope this helps!

The Turtle Lane Villas are one of the best complexes in Hilton Head, rivaling those on the ocean in Palmetto Dunes.

You will access to the best beach area in SeaPines and will be inside the gates. The previous poster has it right. While you will have to bike to restaurants, Its just a short ride on bike paths.

If you are traveling with a small child, you can take the trolley to Harbortown, SeaPines center, or South beach for restaurants.
