Here are two links to past threads on that subject.

Attractions spread over wide area. You%26#39;ll be driving to them no matter where you stay. Few minutes one way or another won%26#39;t make that big of a difference.

Big thing this year is the sand replacement project on the beach. If you look back through the threads you%26#39;ll see some are more upset about it than others.

It only affects one small section of beach at any time. When are you planning to be there? We%26#39;ll ';try'; to point you to an area away from where project is supposed to be for that week.

North or South Myrtle

If you are concerned about the renourishment project, it is already finished in ';south Myrtle';, the areas of Surfside and Garden City. When MOST people speak of ';Myrtle Beach';, they are actually referring to a strip about 25 miles long, from the town of North Myrtle Beach to the town of Murrells Inlet. The attractions, restaurants and golf courses are throughout the entire strip. We looked a long time before deciding which area to purchase a condo in, and we decided on the south end ten years ago and still love it.

I plan to go July 12-18. Thanks

Surfside and Garden City areas are complete.

North Mtrtle Beach isn%26#39;t ';scheduled'; until late summer/early fall.

Mid-July trip, you should be safe with either one.
