going to MB next week suggestions for rainy/ cool days

We are taking our three kids 11,8, 6 to Myrtle Beach next week March 23 - 30. Last year at spring break weather was 80+ so we did the usual beach pool beach deal all day everyday. Looks like this year%26#39;s weather may not be as warm. I%26#39;m looking for neat ideas of things to do with my kids, we have been to all the attractions, we like nature, hiking, shelling, museums, historical sites, etc. Suggestions? Thanks

Try Brokgreen Gardens and Atalaya at Huntington Beach State Park. Bull Island for shelling. Arrange a day cruise on a sailboat. There is an educational walk along the waterfront behind some of the restaurants in Murrells Inlet. May be a little early for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball season, I%26#39;m not sure. Spend part of a day observing the dredging/renourishment project now underway. A matinee movie is usually a treat for kids. Day trips to Georgetown are popular. If you look, you won%26#39;t have a problem filling a week.

thanks for these great suggestions, I%26#39;m off to look for more info about them

Imax was pretty good and I heard magiquest at broadway at the beach was really fun for kids of all ages. A trip to charleston is also nice with a carriage ride through historic charleston. We went to Hopswee plantation (I might have spelled it wrong) It was a tour of the entire houseand grounds. Very interesting. There is also a money saving coupon in the monster book. Have a great trip

I recommend Waccatee Zoo which is inexpensive and especially enjoyable for kids. Over 100 species of exotic and domestic animals. Admission is $7.00 adults/$3.50 kids under 12.

Capt Dick%26#39;s Marina offers a saltwater marsh explorer expedition. You get to view lots of birds, plants, animals and marine life plus there are usually dolphin sightings. It%26#39;s interactive so you get to retrieve specimens yourself from some barrier island beach. $19 adults/$11 kids under 12.

Kart Trax indoor go karts. My kids always wanted to ride go karts.

Huntington Beach State Park. It has one mile of beach, nature trails, fishing pier, picnic areas, a nature center, historic castle Atalya. $5.00 adults and $3.00 kids ages 6-15

There are some arcades downtown on the strip with skee ball, pinball, etc. I think the Gay Dolphin arcade is still open.

How about one of the Jeep tours? We keep saying that we want to do one and we live here. Ripley Aquarium, Dixie Stampede, Nascar Cafe.

Be sure and check out the the brochure racks for discount coupons. The Sun News (newspaper) will have things listed too. Pick up the KICKS magazine on the racks. It%26#39;s usually in Fridays paper and gives events and things happening all week.
