HHI for animal/nature lovers

My family and I (4) are coming in May for 4nts and our youngest (girl/9) is a nature buff and HUGE animal lover. I know we will do a dolphin cruise (any tips would help), but what else is there to do on that subject? Are the nature preserves worth it? Walking or biking through nature preserves?

There are three nature preserves you should not miss.

Sea Pines

Audobon

And Pinckney Island

Also go to the museum and sign up for one of their turtle walks. The island is home base for the loggerhead sea turtles. They come ashore from June to September and lay their eggs.
