Day Trip to Beaufort

We are visiting the island at the end of April/beginning of May this year and are planning a day trip to Beaufort. We had briefly stopped in the town on our last visit in January and we noticed there are carriage rides. Has anyone ever done this? What are the prices like and how do you reserve this? I can%26#39;t seem to find any information online regarding this.

As well, does anyone have any recommendations on things we must do while we are at Beaufort? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I agree, Beaufort is so quaint. We will be in Beaufort on Mar 12 for a Natalie MacMaster concert at the U of SC Performing Arts Centre. We are in HH for March Break, so can hardly wait.

If you go to www.beaufort.com there is LOADS of info there, including carriage tours under ';sightseeing';. Bluffton also looks quaint and the is a link at the top for www.bluffton.com, so there should be enough info there to get you started.

You might want to check out what%26#39;s going on at the Performing Arts centre while you are there.
